2nd Open Forum on Innovation for Regulation

The Forum will serve as a high-level platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, engaging academics, regulators, industry experts, and civil society to explore the interplay between AI, regulation, and sustainability.
This specific activity will serve as structured, interdisciplinary platform to discuss the environmental impact of AI applications and infrastructures (e.g., data centers, network infrastructures, processing units). The Forum will directly contribute to the development of a methodology for assessing AI’s environmental footprint, bridging academic research, regulatory needs, and industry expertise.
The discussion will allow to establish an evidence-based strategy for regulatory and methodological development in sustainable AI governance, as well as strengthening collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to formulate practical recommendations for sustainability metrics in AI for regulation.
Target audience: academia, regulators, industry stakeholders involved in AI governance and civil society, students.
The Forum will be the final event in which the edited book will be presented.
